DIY NECK ROPE INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Gather all six strands of paracord and thread them through the metal O ring, then secure with a knot.

Leave some paracord extending beyond the knot to form your decorative tassels.

Step 2

Start a simple three strand braid by grouping your paracord into three pairs. Hold one pair in each hand and one pair between your fingers.

Cross the right pair over the middle pair, then cross the left pair over the new middle pair. Continue alternating, right over middle, left over middle, maintaining even tension as you work down the length of the cord.

Keep the pairs separate and parallel as you braid. The pattern repeats until you reach the end. Finish by tying off the three pairs together with a knot to secure your braid.

Step 3

Now keep braiding until you reach the end of your cord or your desired length. Once finished, thread the end of your paracord back through the metal O ring.

Step 4

Now it's time to finish off your neck rope by tying a second knot.

Make sure your finishing knot matches your starting knot for a polished, professional look.

Step 5

Trim your paracord tassels to your desired length, keeping them uniform across all strands.

Once cut, seal the cord ends with a heat source to prevent fraying and ensure a polished finish.
